Phreatic eruption? on Adatara volcano

Adatara volcano ( Fukushima pref. north east Japan ) erupted suddenly on 1 Sep 1996. This eruption(?) formed new three crater at center part of Numanotaira crater. The area around craters covered by mud crust. And small mud flow occured.
Some photographs of this event were taken by KAMOSHIDA. on 12 Sep. 1996.
